Recipes and Home Bar data stay on your devices and, on Apple platforms, in your private iCloud account.
Privacy policy
Effective 12 August 2026
Your recipes are personal.
We treat them that way.
Jarra does not use your cocktail library for advertising, sell your personal information, or operate a server that receives your recipe contents. A small amount of operational data is processed to sync your library, manage purchases, and keep the app reliable.
Jarra does not include advertising SDKs or use your activity to build marketing profiles.
Diagnostics and purchase information are processed only to maintain the app and subscriptions.
01
Overview
This policy explains how Jarra handles information when you use the Jarra mobile app or this website. “Jarra,” “we,” and “us” refer to the developer of the Jarra app.
Your recipes are not uploaded to Jarra-owned servers. Jarra does use trusted platform and service providers for iCloud sync, subscriptions, crash reporting, and support.
02
Information we process
Recipe and app data
Your cocktails, ingredients, Home Bar inventory, recipe variants, costs, dilution settings, and preferences are stored on your device. On Apple platforms, this data can sync through Apple iCloud CloudKit using your Apple Account. Jarra does not receive the contents of that library on a developer-operated server.
Diagnostics and performance
Jarra uses Sentry to identify crashes, errors, and performance problems. Diagnostic events may include your IP address, device and operating-system details, app version, error messages, performance traces and profiles, app logs, and a technical representation of the visible interface. Jarra does not attach screenshots to these events.
Purchases and subscriptions
Jarra uses RevenueCat to manage subscription access. RevenueCat may process an automatically generated app user identifier, device and app information, purchase receipts or tokens, transaction history, and subscription status. Apple or Google processes the payment itself; Jarra does not receive your full payment-card details.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include in your message, such as screenshots or diagnostic details.
This website
This website does not set advertising cookies or run analytics scripts. Following a store or service-provider link takes you to that provider’s site, where its own privacy policy applies.
03
How we use information
Operational information is used only to:
- sync your library across supported devices;
- confirm purchases and provide subscription features;
- diagnose crashes, improve stability, and measure performance;
- respond to support requests and feedback; and
- protect the app, users, and services from misuse.
We do not sell personal information or use recipe contents, diagnostic data, or purchase information for targeted advertising.
04
Service providers
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies:
05
Your choices and control
- Export your library: Use Settings → Export / Backup to create a portable copy of your data.
- Delete app data: Delete individual content in Jarra or use the controls provided by your device and iCloud account.
- Manage subscriptions: Use Settings → Manage Subscription or your App Store or Google Play account.
- Ask about your information: Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. We may need information from you to locate a support message or service record.
Deleting the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription or remove data already synced to a platform account. Manage those separately through the relevant platform.
06
Retention and policy changes
Your recipe library remains on your device or in your platform account until you delete it. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and maintain a useful support history. Diagnostic and subscription records are retained according to Jarra’s operational needs and the applicable provider’s retention practices.
We may update this policy as Jarra changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when we do.
